When my daughter was younger she hated having her brushed, it was very thick and curly and it was always knotty in the morning, it hurt her to even brush it, it still gives us problems now. Maybe you should approach the parent and just ask, I know I had someone approach me about Becca and say if something was wrong, but I explained and we was never bothered about it again.
