How often should i put on Aloe Vera Gel/Lotion per day?

i got a sunburn and ive been putting on aloe vera gel lotion thing its 100% aloe vera . i put it on once then i took a shower and put it on again them i had a bath at night because i worked and put it on again its been about 2 hours since i put it on should i put it on now im going to bed .
